Probus - Church of St Probus
The church of St Probus* in the eponymously named village dates from the C15th though the first vicar here was as early as 1300. The tower is in an unusual style with pierced granite bell openings, but the main body of the church has Perpendicular period windows. Though mostly dating from the C15th & 16th it was restored by G.E.Street in 1850 and extended by St Aubyn in 1904. The church is EH Grade I listed: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1310352?section=official-list-entry See also Image] *Note: The full dedication of this church is St Probus & St Grace
