The Post Office, Hugh Street, Hugh Town, St. Mary's
Hugh Street is the main road from the Harbour into the town centre. The post office bears the letters VR with the date 1897. The choice of post box is interesting Image

Known as 49 degrees for short this shop celebrates the fact that the Islands lie south of 50 degrees North in latitude. Set up as an off-shoot of the already successful Foredeck clothes shop it opened some time in the 1990s. Prior to that the building had housed the St Mary's Bulb Shop.
No Scillonian holiday is complete without checking-out this year's designs and buying a tee-shirt or jumper.
