Entrance to Porth Mellon Industrial Estate, St. Mary's
And the home of "Radio Scilly" an excellent local radio station "The spirit of the isles". Not only available locally on 107.91 MHz FM, but also globally on http://www.radioscilly.com/ so one can prepare weeks before visiting and pretend one is still in heaven months after!

Carn Thomas Secondary School, St. Mary's
Part of the "Five Islands School" in the Isles of Scilly. Within Five Islands School are five bases, each with their own unique character. St Mary's houses the two largest schools, Carn Gwaval Primary and the Carn Thomas Secondary. Tresco, St Agnes and St Martin's has primary sites on the off-islands. When off-Island pupils reach Secondary age they are provided with a place at Mundesley hostel (Mon - Thurs), so they don't have to travel by boat every day to school.
