Miners' cottages at Lower Boscaswell
Lower Boscaswell just outside Pendeen is a settlement originally consisting predominantly of housing for miners employed in the various mines in the area. In addition to several terraces of stone cottages like this one there is a lot of late-C20th social housing - an unusual occurrence in such a rural area.

The Dry, where the miners could change and have a shower and relax
Geevor Tin Mine, formerly North Levant Mine is a tin mine in the far west of Cornwall, between the villages of Pendeen and Trewellard. It was operational between 1911 and 1990 during which time it produced about 50,000 tons of black tin. It is now a museum and heritage centre left as a living history of a working tin mine. The crash in prices for tin that lasted for 15 years led to its demise.
