Sennen war memorial
Set against a bright blue early morning sky in September. The inscription bears only five names for the Second World War and on the reverse there are eleven names for the Great War but in this small agricultural community the loss must have been devastating.

Sennen Church
Sennen village was named after St Sennen to whom the church is dedicated. Exactly who St Sennen was is uncertain, but he may have been St Senan who came from Ireland and is said to have founded the church here in 520. The current building mostly dates from the 13th century although the tower and south aisle are later. The church was restored in the 1860s. Note how parched the grass in the foreground appears to be; this was taken during the long hot and dry summer of 1976.
