Tehidy House
Tehidy House was the ancestral home of the Basset Family. In 1918 the house became a hospital for tuberculosis sufferers. On 23 February 1919 the house was destroyed by fire but by January 1922 had been completely rebuilt.

The 15th green at Tehidy Park Golf Club
No play today with a heavy covering of frost. The golf course has a parkland setting on the edge of Tehidy Country Park. There is a distant view of Carn Brea hill, on which stands the Basset Monument Image Francis Lord de Dunstanville and Basset was the owner of the Tehidy Estate.

Tehidy House
A large mansion was built 1734-39, by Thomas Edwards of Greenwich, for John Pendarves Basset and in 1861 John Francis Basset commenced a rebuild, completed in 1863, using his vast wealth arising from his tin mining ownership. In the C20th the house became the basis of Tehidy Hospital. When this closed in the 1980s the house was converted to residential apartments. The surrounding Tehidy Estate is now owned by Cornwall Council and is open to the public as Tehidy Country Park.
