The Truro Coinage Hall
The Coinage Hall is an imposing Victorian building which was built on the site of the 14th century Coinage Hall established when Truro became a stannary town where smelted tin was assayed before being sold and exported.
Truro lost its status as a stannary town in 1838 and the hall has been used for different purposes, including banking. Today the Coinage Hall is home to Pizza Express, on the ground floor, and tea rooms, upstairs.

Coinage Hall, Prince's Street at end of Boscowen Street, Truro
This was built as a house c.1850 on the site of the Coinage Hall (1351 - 1848). It and the war memorial are listed, Grade II.
