Yachts and Furzeham Green
In the background, Furzeham Green rises up the hill. This still has a road name "Ropewalk" which refers directly to the manufacture of rope which was laid out in the past.

Furzeham, Brixham, looking across towards Lyme Bay
This photograph was taken from square 9153 with a long lens. The houses in the foreground are in Furzeham, Brixham. The boats were seeking refuge in Torbay from the gales. Across the bay, one can see the red sandstone cliffs over towards Beer and Seaton.

Floral display on North Furzeham Road
Bonsey Rose Gardens occupy a thin slilver of land just above the cliffs; below is Oxen Cove. The gardens were restored by a local man in 2009.

All out to sea
The clifftops along North Furzeham Road are part of the old quarries that line the coast here in Brixham. Bonsey Rose garden was created and with such a commanding view over the harbour and Torbay it is not surprising to see so many seats.
