Railway turntable at Churston
According to another contributor Image this is not original to the line but introduced in 1981. It serves the dual purpose of accessing several short sidings, and turning locomotives if needed.

5542 Arrives at Churston
Locomotive 5542 arrives at Churston on the Dartmouth Steam Railway. Built in 1928 for the Great Western Railway, she worked for 33 years until being scrapped under the Beeching cuts, having run for nearly a million miles.
