In fact this fairly recently-created private track seem to be heading for Torbay Business Park which is just over the hill. Young woodland is springing up on either side of it here by Waddeton Lane.

Former premises of Devon Ceramics Ltd
This distribution warehouse stands at the end of Waddeton Close in an area of significant redevelopment. The building is currently disused, and looks to be due for demolition.

South West Energy Centre
The Centre aims to help to fuel an economic recovery in Torbay and South Devon, driving demand and ensuring manufacturers, suppliers and installers have the skilled workforce needed, directly leading to the creation of many private sector jobs. (Information from southwestenergycentre.co.uk website, which is no longer online). On the far right is the Passivhaus - built to showcase dramatically reduced need for space heating and cooling.

The new Energy Centre stands near to the remains of the old STC factory which was demolished some years ago, but not the central tower which supports a transmission mast of some type. The old tower can be seen in the background of the picture.
