Sugar Loaf, Three Beaches
Late October sunshine shows plenty of green leaves on the trees around Sugar Loaf, even after the much heralded storm on Sunday Night. The houses on Sugar Loaf seem quite comfortably settled and well protected. Beyond lies the blue sea of Torbay with the headland and Thatcher Rock sitting nearby.

Daffodils, Dartmouth Road, Waterside, Paignton
The unknown jogger has a pleasant view and a bit of downhill footpath as the daffodils go by. Even on Sunday morning, people are starting to stir - there is someone waiting at the bus stop across the road. The shops at Three Beaches are just down the road on the right.

Daffodils near Three Beaches, Waterside
Only cyclists and intrepid pedestrians are likely to capture this viewpoint as it is by the grass verge next to a dual carriageway with no pavement on this side. However, the inside lane of the dual carriageway is reserved solely for buses and cyclists. The shops lie just at the bottom of this hill.

Spring can't be far off. These daffodils enliven the verge next to the dual carriageway on the way up the hill towards Brixham out of Three Beaches.

Daffodils near Three Beaches, Waterside
Each year the daffodils on the grass verges by the dual carriageway throw up their blooms without fail. They also need little or no attention but cheer all those passing by on foot or in cars.

Steps towards the beach at Three Beaches
This steep set of steps down to Dartmouth Road gives good views of Sugar Loaf opposite and beyond across the blue sea of the bay lies the Torquay headland. Few pedestrians use the steps.
