Railway Bridge, Goodrington Beach
The railway bridge at the south west end of the beach carries the steam railway to Churston and beyond. The beach beckons beyond the harsh brutality of the span, a bridge very much in contrast to the beautiful Hookhills viaduct less than a mile further on.

The Devon Belle was a luxury train with Pullman carriages running between London Waterloo and Plymouth or Ilfracombe from 1947 to 1954 - see Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devon_Belle . The rolling stock included two observation cars, and one of these runs on the Dartmouth Steam Railway. It is seen here by Goodrington Sands, on a bridge over Cliff Park Road.

Cliff Park Road
The turning on the right is Beach Walk - slightly misleadingly named, as it does not lead to the beach, but is a residential cul-de-sac. The road on the left is Cliff Park Road, which is also a cul-de-sac, and does indeed lead to the beach.
