Old monastery buildings
The former monastery at the top of Winner Hill overlooking Paignton. The monastery was occupied by a community from the Order of Mary (Marists). The statue on the eastern end was once a prominent feature which could be seen from most of the town of Paignton, but has become obscured by surrounding trees in recent years.

Numbers 107 and 109 Winner Street are two shops with accommodation above. Built circa 1850. Number 107 (left) has a 20th century shopfront and number 107 has an 1890s shopfront. Sign on Winner Street, Paignton
Encouragingly, shops are promised along the northern end of the one-way street, and there are some distinctive ones. The first seems to sell old prams, but turns out to be a sign shop.
