On a foggy day, with the sun almost breaking through. Now bypassed by Marldon Way to the east, Vicarage Road once formed part of the route by which traffic heading to Brixham avoided the coastal towns.

Meadow near Five Lanes
Trees - sallow or willow I think - are encroaching on this pleasantly wild meadow by Vicarage Road just south of Five Lanes. Together with a clearer field beyond the line of mature trees, this forms an attractive open green space between the built-up area of Marldon and the A380 dual carriageway just beyond.
