Queensway, Torquay
Originally the road was called Sherwell Rise North, to correspond to Sherwell Rise South across the Sherwell valley. It was renamed in 1953, the year of the coronation, as a plaque near the bottom commemorates. This former local authority housing dates from that era. The road is set in a fairly steep side valley.
