Tram shelter
This tram shelter wass at the northern end of the tramway system, and stands opposite Torre Station. The tram service lasted only from 1907 to 1934. Two information boards give some of the history.

Roadworks at Torre Station
A nine-week operation to replace the traffic lights at this junction of Avenue Road with the A3022 Newton Road was completed by the following day. Queues on the roads involved have been considerable for the previous two months. Torre Station and its footbridge can be spotted in the background.
