Chapel Hill Woods
A little further down the path down Image, with a seat that's just about usable (most of them in the former pleasure grounds aren't) part way down.

Remains of seat, Chapel Hill Pleasure Grounds
The seat was usable when Image was taken in 2013, but certainly isn't now. Footpath TQ 58 plunges down steps beside it; there's glimpse of the Newton Road at the bottom of the hill.

Steps in Chapel Hill Woods
Chapel Hill Pleasure Grounds, as they are shown on the maps, have become simply a steep wood dominated by holm oaks, not the prettiest of trees. This steep path runs up the eastern edge of the wood, close to the back of housing by St Michael's Road.

Chapel Hill Pleasure Grounds
Many, if not most, of the holm oaks have an orange dot on them. Is a mass felling planned? Update, June 2015: indeed, a mass felling has taken place - see Image and Image, for instance.

St Michael's Road, Torquay
A steep and rather narrow road, much of it between high walls, and with several cul-de-sacs. There are very pleasant houses, but, as the vehicle is demonstrating, one emerges gingerly from one's driveway, as the road is well-used.

Pheasant berry, Chapel Hill Pleasure Grounds
See Image; there's now a veritable forest of Leycesteria formosa in the southern part of the wooded hillside, but the light level is poor, so getting a well-focussed shot is difficult.

Bad weather has brought down some dead branches onto the pavement alongside the A3022.
