Houses by The Green, Shaldon
The house on the right has a sundial on the gable. Closer examination shows that it is set to Summer Time, so in this winter scene, the time is wrong by one hour.

Sunny Patch, Middle Street
Although the 1889 1:500 town map shows a couple of buildings here, now gone, it looks as though there was some open ground here (but probably no fan palm (Trachycarpus fortunei)).
