'The Hub' by B.O.A.G. at the Ness Inn

Homeyards Botanic Garden, east entrance
The pergola cries out for plants to climb over it. Note the perforations in the flanking walls. All built of pale grey Devonian limestone. Fan palms (Trachycarpus fortunei) either side; big Strawberry Tree (Arbutus unedo) straight ahead.

Entrance to Homeyards Botanical Garden, Shaldon
Homeyard Botanical Garden was created by Maria Laetitia Kempe Homeyard in the late-1920s. Mrs Homeyard died in 1944, and in 1950 Teignmouth Town Council purchased the gardens from the Public Trustee. The gardens were officially opened in 1955.
