The lower end of the terrace of 14 shown in Image] is on the extreme left; in the centre is a terrace of six, also raised above the road and stepped, with Thurlow Hill turning up an even steeper hill to the right. Seen across the junction with Forest Road / St James Road.

Although it's good that the old blue and white tiled street name remained after the standardised modern sign was put in place, it's a shame that the latter was positioned to partly obscure the former.
