Lustleigh: Primrose Cottage
Primrose Cottage is not as old as it looks, having been built in the late 1940s on the footprint of an earlier single storey farm building. It does however have an Arts and Crafts style bay window, and is the archetypal Devon tearoom. This view was taken from the graveyard of the Church of St John the Baptist.

Lustleigh: The Gospel Hall
Despite not being a thatched cottage this little building is as much part of the fabric of the Lustleigh Conservation Area as any other. However I can find nothing of the history of the building other than what has been written in Wikipedia, which I quote with all due acknowledgement verbatim: "The Gospel Hall sits below the village green, next to the Primrose Cottage tea rooms, on the Wreyland path. Its history dates back to the 1900s when worship was conducted in the homes of adherents. Sometime in the early 20th century, a Mrs LA Whiteside made the building available to the congregation. This continued until 1971, when the congregation purchased the building from the landlord, and it is still active today."
