Visitor Centre in Yarner Wood
Surprisingly, although the car park is shown, the building is not shown on the 1:50,000 and 1:25,000 maps. This is the visitor centre for the National Nature Reserve.

Pirri-pirri Bur in Yarner Wood
This looks very like Acaena novae-zelandiae between the car park and the Woodcock Stream at Yarner Wood. The plant, which has hooked spines on its bur-like fruit, was imported from the Antipodes in sheep's wool. But this seems a rather damp, shady location. My old Collins' pocket guide gives the Latin name as Acaena anserinifolia.

Yarner Wood
This was one of the first 6 National Nature reserves, established in 1952. A steep little path from the car park immediately gives walkers a view across the entrance road to a dammed pond on the Woodcock Stream in which trees grow. The wood is primarily oak, but there are plenty of other species here.

Nesting box with lake view, Yarner Wood
Probably for pied flycatchers. Highly desirable with this view (improved over the years with the removal of trees and undergrowth), though at a rather busy spot. Across the pond is the visitor centre and car park.
