Cattle above Drewston
A wider version of the scene in Image from beneath the same oak, with cattle on this occasion. The central tree, presumably also an oak, and which can be seen on the right edge of the other image, is isolated within the field.

Field near Drewston
The field is triangular, wedged between Cleave Wood to the right and the lanes from Saint Hill and Meacombe (the lane from which this was taken) which meet at Drewston Cross. Over the valley of an unnamed tributary of the Teign, the steep hillside ends abruptly at the Teign gorge, overlooked by Castle Drogo, shrouded in white during its major restoration - see Image

Some overlap with Image], and more zoom, to give a slightly better view of the white-shrouded Castle Drogo, undergoing major restoration. According to http://www.westernmorningnews.co.uk/Biggest-tent-world-cover-Castle-Drogo-Exeter/story-20347978-detail/story.html , "so big that if you laid all the poles that support it end to end they {would} stretch over 60 miles".
