What's this?
A large boulder looking like a cross between a plumb line and a fishing weight stands in the middle of a field entrance.
Closer inspection reveals a small oak sapling growing out of a hole at the top.

Wall near entrance to country park
Well, the sun came out and made the wall suddenly interesting. This, one of the main routes to and across the moor, is here unclassified, but becomes a B road when it reaches Dartmeet. It used to be the A384 all the way from Ashburton to Tavistock.
