Torquay: postbox № TQ1 181, Ilsham Marine Drive
This George V-reign postbox stands outside a currently vacant plot on the corner of Thatcher Avenue and has had a line of those stickers that you find on apples stuck upon it. It is emptied finally at 5:30pm on weekdays and at noon on Saturdays.

Fine views over the sea can be had from the houses on Ilsham Marine Drive, Torquay.
Here, at the corner of Thatcher Avenue, an older house has been demolished and two contemporary new homes are under construction.

Empty plot, Ilsham Marine Drive
When I say "empty", it does of course feature plenty of vegetation including several mature pine trees. One wonders what this site must be worth. A house named "Craig" occupied it until demolished in about 2008.

The artist's impressions show what the new luxury contemporary houses under construction here will look like. Prices have not been announced, but expect seven digits. The houses are being built on the site of a former house which has been demolished. The location is Ilsham Marine Drive, Torquay, at the junction with Thatcher Avenue.
