Summer on a vacant site, Newton Abbot
Colourful valerian and hawkweeds, I think, brighten an empty plot on East Street. This plot is about 40 metres long, but less than 10 metres wide at this street end. East Street contains numerous such plots, most, thankfully, still occupied by buildings with very long histories. But many are unlisted and are very vulnerable to development.

Wolborough Parish Room and Soup Kitchen
This building can be seen on the right of Image, its gable end facing down Union Street. The words in the title appear on a stone between the windows, but there's no date. Its architecture clearly resembles the school buildings just along the road Image On the left is the first houses in a terrace on School Road.
