View from Wellington Road, Torquay
A view taken from a little further south along the road than Image, and looking more to the right. Ellacombe Green (with its bowling green) again appears above the chimney pots. Beyond is Princes Road. Bethel Terrace is the row of houses running behind the pine tree; the prominent central terrace above is on Pembroke Road. Terraces on Cavern Road and Pennsylvania Road rise above these, with grander buildings on Rosehill Road (which climbs to the left into Warberry Copse) and Warberry Road West further up the hill.

Alley in Ellacombe
Seen from Alexandra Road, this narrow alley runs across the end of Alexandra Lane and crosses Princes Road (the safety barrier can perhaps be made out) before climbing to the rear of Cavern Road.

Ellacombe Green
The former bowling green has been turned into an all-weather multi-use games area. On the left is the pavilion. "Ellacombe B.C. (est. 1928) and the Torquay Post Office B.C. (est. 1932) shared the Ellacombe Bowling Green in the centre of Torquay for many years until in 2000 it was decided that due to falling numbers in both clubs we should amalgamate. "Adopting the logo of the mythical bird the Phoenix, which arose from its own ashes the Victoria Bowling Club was born. We continued to use the Ellacombe Green until 2005 when we moved to our present site on the Torquay sea front in the lovely Abbey Gardens with panoramic views of Torbay. http://www.presswebdesigns.co.uk/victoriabowlingclubdevon/aboutus.php "
