Cascade in Old Roar Gill
A small waterfall in that part of the gill in the Silverhill Park area just off Ghyllside Avenue. Note: these deep waterworn gorges in South East England are variously called 'gills' or 'ghylls'. They are northern or Scandinavian words and how they came to be so widespread in Sussex and nearby counties is not, I think, quite clear. 'Old Roar' refers to the noise made by a much larger waterfall upstream which makes an impressive sound when the stream is in flood.
