Robin's Pin Cushion Gall
The wasp gall known as the Rose Bedeguar Gall, or Robin's Pin Cushion, formed in place of a leaf bud on a wild rose. On a hedgerow on Limes Land, Tenterden, Kent. Diplolepis rosae is the species of gall wasp which causes the rose to form the gall. The gall wasp larvae induce the plant to produce the abnormal growths known as galls. Ref:P9020106ag.
