Planning permission has been granted, with conditions, by Folkestone and Hythe District Council under application number 22/1978/FH for the "erection of a double garage". The garage will be constructed in place of the gates.

View from a Romney-Dungeness train - Crossing Clobsden Sewer
The Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is a 15 in (381 mm) gauge light railway opened in 1927.
Adjacent to this was Golden Sands Halt between 1948 and the 1990s. No trace of this apparently survives.

RH&DR east of St. Mary's Bay
The track alignment, both vertically and horizontally, of the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway is not up to main line standards. The ride on the 15" gauge line is rather lively, as trains get up to about 35 km/h (22 mph) on open sections.
