Bakers Cross Brewery, Dorothy Avenue, Cranbrook
Now known as The Old Brewery Business Centre. The brewery dates back before the 1800's. There were a series of buildings including an oast house. A larger building once sat at the end of what is now Dorothy Avenue, and the corner with The Hill and Tilsden Lane, it contained a malthouse and fermentation vats, and loading bay beside The Hill. This is now the only remaining building, along with Bakers Cross House which it is adjoined to which the Brewery owner lived in. The building has since been used as a furniture workshop and now converted to business units and flats. A history of the brewery can be seen here http://tonysing.me.uk/History/BakersX/article2.htm
