Woodseaves Miniature Railway
A Narrow Gauge Railway Society visit to this 7.25" miniature railway. On the left is a 'Romulus' 0-4-0 Jean. This is a typical model engineer's engine. On the right is Billy May a 2-4-2T built by the Exmoor Steam Railway in 2000 and the only 7.25" engine built by that builder. We went round behind both and Billy May provided a very fuss free ride while Jean worked hard and slipped quite a bit. Afterwards I seemed to be wearing quite a bit of the contents of Jean's fire box in the form of smuts.

Woodseaves Miniature Railway
In a nursery near Market Drayton and regularly open Sunday afternoons from Easter to September. This is the 7.25" layout but there is also a 16 mm layout (actually runs on a 1" gauge with live steam). The locomotive seen here was built by Exmoor Railway and is a substantial piece of kit. The line's other locomotive is a typical model engineers product and is considerably smaller but makes more of a 'fuss'. You pays your money and takes your choice as they say - I prefer the Exmoor built locomotive any day.
