Corbet Arms Hotel, High St.
An attractive coaching inn, but closed and for sale. A Country Market was taking place in the yard.

The Corbet Arms, High Street, Market Drayton
A late 17th century coaching Inn with red brick and plain tile roofs.
The front range consists of early 19th century block to left and late 18th century block to right. It has an early 19th century ballroom at the rear. It was intended to be refurbished in 2009 but up until earlier this year has not been done.

Market Drayton - Salopian Star
This C17th building houses the Salopian Star pub. It has an unusual projecting first-storey room above the steps leading to the front door.
The photo was taken from a few yards into Cross Street (not Ross Street as you might think from the image!).

Oh dear, it once looked like this: Image Now every business has closed. The recession has hit with a vengeance. The prominent Georgian building with a granite-columned porch was the Corbet Arms Hotel.
