Shropshire Union Canal approaching Market Drayton, Shropshire
The former wharf and basin on the left are now utilised for private moorings, the site now fully redeveloped with a variety of housing (1990s?). Late afternoon sunlight adds warmth to the autumnal colours of the trees.

The late 20th century apartments, and private long term moorings replace a disused mid 20th century site and basin. Plenty of good visitor moorings are available on the left, but they do fill up quickly in the busy season, so aim to arrive early.
