The Woodbridge Inn, Coalport
The Woodbridge Inn occupies an enviable position on the banks of the River Severn across the bridge from Coalport itself. It was built in about 1785 at a time when the bridge was indeed wooden, a new bridge was built in 1818.

The Woodbridge Inn
The Woodbridge Inn is situated on the banks of the River Severn, a mile downstream from Ironbridge in Shropshire, and is named after the wooden bridge that once connected the pub to the village of Coalport on the opposite bank.The pub was built at the same time as the bridge, in around 1785.

Woodbridge Inn and Coalport Bridge
The original bridge here was wooden but washed away in a flood. The inn is to let, but they are still serving satisfactory meals, and it's a beautiful spot for lunch. This view is the least flattering, but I was glad the bouncy castle wasn't inflated.
