Redundant Victorian Post Box
This Victorian wall letter box has been inserted into the wall of an old chapel, in Old Park, Telford, that is used as a small factory.
The slot has had to be sealed, some folks thought it was still in use as a GPO box.
A lick of paint wouldn't go amiss!

Cul-de-sac road on Cinderloo Way
Most of the roads around this brand new housing estate are named Cinderloo Way, presumably in recognition of the Cinderloo Uprising (Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinderloo_Uprising ) which took place in this area in April 1821. A large number of miners, disgruntled at a pay cut, took on the Shropshire Yeomanry, who had been called in to keep the peace. The disturbances led to 3 deaths, including the subsequent hanging of one of the ringleaders of the strikers.
