Church Street, St Georges
St Georges and Oakengates were old industrial areas now absorbed into the new town of Telford. Traditional pubs like the Cottage Spring now serve both old and new housing areas.

Beatrice Webb House, St George's
Previously, this building was The Primitive Methodist Jubilee Chapel (see Image]). Now, the building is in the ownership of the 'Stay' charity. Beatrice Webb House is a supported housing scheme for young females and the former chapel has been converted into eight units of accommodation.

The Cottage Spring public house is one of several pubs in the St George's district, most of which seem to be surviving in spite of the current decline in popularity of traditional pubs.

Mails to Nails
The post office in Church Street, St.Georges, closed about 5 years ago. The shop has now been converted to a Nail Bar and Beauty Parlour. The post box in the wall is still in use.
