The Down Well, Broseley
Originally sunk in 1881, and completed as a well in 1885, The Down Well was Broseley's main water source for a long while (and the only reliable source of water in the cold winter of 1947). It sits at the top of The Haycop, a conservation area on the site of the old Broseley Colliery which ceased production in 1860.
