Cosford Grange Lodge
Built in the early to mid 19th century, as a lodge to the really rather splendid house at Cosford Grange itself. The lodge and its waslls were Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101367635-cosford-grange-lodge-and-quadrant-walls-to-drive-entrance-albrighton#.Xm8vK6j7RPY & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1367635 in 1984.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight 2013
The last flying Lancaster bomber, a Hurricane (bottom) and a Spitfire (top) - 3 of the BBMF planes for the Cosford Airshow in 2013. This has been the 70-year commemoration of the WWII 'Dambusters' raids on the Ruhr valley reservoirs, so this particular Lanc has had a busy few months attending displays and events alla round the UK.

Cosford Grange Farm Shop
Although this wasn't yet open at the time I passed, it keeps sensible hours during the day, and opens in the early evening on Thursdays and Fridays. In addition to fresh fruit and veg, there is a selection of cheeses and meats, pies, frozen food, jams, preserves, honey, snacks and so on. It's probably just as well it was closed, thinking about it...

Vulcan bomber - last time ever at Cosford
XH558 passes over the roofline of the Cold War Exhibition hangar at the Cosford museum, making a final appearance at RAF Cosford as part of the 'Salute to the V-Bombers' tour of the UK. She flew a route around the northern half of the country on Saturday, and a route around the southern half on Sunday, visiting museums and exhibitions where the British V-Bomber force aircraft remain on display. Sadly, at the end of the summer season, this plane will no longer be passed as airworthy.
