East-northeast over Shifnal from the tower of St Andrew's church
Part of the railway viaduct through the centre of Shifnal, with the station at the right-hand end, and a selection of old & new buildings in the town. Church Street is the road in the bottom right corner.

Houses at the eastern end of The Grove
The houses and flats here were built around 2000 on the site of the one-time squash club and swimming pool; although it was a private club, the membership was very reasonably priced, and sadly the well-used facilities have never really been replaced in the town since.

Odfellows - Odd spelling
A wine bar and restaurant in the centre of Shifnal. I've never understood why they've dropped the 'd' in the name.

Naughty Nell's Mongolian Restaurant, Shifnal
Although Shifnal is the dining-out capital of East Shropshire, it lacks Michelin stars. But I don't think even Ludlow boasts a Mongolian Restaurant! That's why I thought it necessary to add this picture of Image

Shifnal railway station, Shropshire
Opened in 1849 by the Shrewsbury and Birmingham Railway, soon to become part of the Great Western Railway empire.

1 & 1a Park Street, Shifnal
Originally a pair of late 16th or early 17th century houses, later converted to a public house and nightclub; until a few years ago, it was operating as a rather good 'all you can eat for a tenner' Mongolian restaurant Image which has sadly now closed. The whole building attracted a Grade II listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101176363-1-and-1a-park-street-shifnal#.XzgFJOhKjcs & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1176363 in 1955.
