77 Aston Street - rear view
The older portion of this Grade II listed cottage in Aston Street, listing granted in 1984. This shows much of the remaining timber-frame construction, including the queen-post truss structure in this gable end, along with the 'catslide' roof. The front and west gables are bricked over. A Grade II listed building in Aston Street. Timber-framed and originally dating from the 17th century, the south and west walls were brick-faced in the 19th century for weather protection.
