A footbridge across the Teviot
The footbridge crosses the river almost opposite the Johnsons of Elgin factory, cafe and shop. Just by the river bank on this side some serious piling and rebuilding of the river bank is taking place following the erosion caused by the 2015 floods.

River Teviot, Hawick
Shingle banks in the river, after a long period of low rainfall. The Teviot responds rapidly to rainfall, and parts of Hawick suffer regularly from flooding. Alongside the river are the mills, many closed and converted, but some still producing woollen goods and Cashmere.
