Hawick High Street
The high street is suffering like most town high streets with a lot of empty shops and a high number of charity shops. The supermarkets that have opened up in and around the town always seem to have this effect!

Liberal Club for sale, Hawick
On the corner of High Street and Brougham Place. A memorial stone above the grey arched entrance was laid in October 1894 Image A notice advertising an auction on 19 May 2016 was clearly unsuccessful. https://canmore.org.uk/site/95601/hawick-80-high-street-liberal-club. This link states that it is on the Buildings at Risk Register, but the Scottish register does not seem to exist as such following changes in administration of Scottish Heritage, Canmore and RCAHMS.
