The main entrance at Hawick Community Hospital
This new hospital, operational in July 2005, replaced a 19th century cottage hospital on a restricted site and brought Hawick's other day hospitals onto one site. It stands on the former Victoria Mills site in Victoria Road. The facilities include: Inpatient (24 beds), Rehabilitation, Dental Surgeries, Palliative Care and Day Units.

The Coble Cauld, Hawick
This weir across the River Teviot was built to supply water to the textile mills. The information board explains its history and the annual Common Riding, which includes a ceremonial dipping of the town flag into the pool, commemorating the capture of an English flag here in 1514. Hawick High School is across the river.
