The pant well, Douglas Square
Drinking water was provided for humans through the lion's head spout, and for animals in a trough on the opposite side. Dating from the late 19th century, the well is a Category C listed building http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB4254 .

Buccleuch House, Newcastleton
Community centre, managed by the Newcastleton & District Community Trust. The clock was put up in 2005 by the Liddesdale Ladies Amenities Group.
