Three blue plaques, Jedburgh
Plaques commemorating James Veitch, Mary Somerville and Sir David Brewster, all natives of the town in the late 18th century who went on to make significant contributions covering engineering, astronomy, optics and mathematics. This early 1970s building in Queen Street was extended in 1992. The accommodation includes six consulting rooms plus physiotherapy, podiatry, dental, speech/language therapy and district nurses/health visitors facilities.

Mary Queen of Scots' House
Not really a house belonging to the beheaded queen, but a place where she is reputed to have stayed for four weeks in 1566. The interior is now an interesting museum devoted to the story of the rather tragic queen.
