Yarrow Feus Village Hall
In the Yarrow valley, serving the small community of Yarrow Feus. Not too sure about the origins of the building, but it looks rather like an old school (to the right) with the dominie's house nearest the camera.

A708, Yarrow Feus
At the time the road was closed due to a culvert being washed out somewhere around the head of Moffatdale. There was even less traffic than usual. As I often do, I will warn visitors to Scotland about the frequent road closures. You will be inconvenienced or even prevented from making a journey, it is almost inevitable. The weather does its worst (as in this case), but councils now just close roads rather than stick in lights for many repairs. In three days around this time, I encountered seven closures.

A708, Yarrow Feus
The road was quiet as it was blocked by a collapsed culvert in upper Moffatdale. There were however a lot of police about, and I suspect a search was being made of the hills to the south. They also had their helicopter out.
