Morebattle from Grubbit Law
Morebattle is situated on the south side of the Kale Water 6 miles southeast of Kelso. Morebattle means the dwelling on the lake and at one time there was a loch between the village and Linton. The Eildon Hills are in the background to the right and the Waterloo Monument on Peniel Heugh can just be made out on the horizon on the far left.
