Built in 1794-5 and to quote Pevsner, Curved and pointed cutwaters supporting coupled engaged Doric columns which continue to rectangular pedestrian refuges.

Teviot Bridge, Kelso
This is the last bridge over the Teviot before it joins the Tweed. It was designed by Alexander Stevens and completed in 1795 by the builder William Elliot of Kelso, and is notable for the Doric columns on the river piers. See Image for a view from downstream.
