Old milestone
Looking south towards Jedbergh, the red car is parked outside the cottage opposite the entrance to Caverton Mains. Another point of reference for the milestone is the gully grate adjacent to it.

Old milestone
On the minor roads route from Kelso to Jedburgh 3 milestones can still be found. This one is just north of the cottage opposite Caverton Mains. KELSO/5 and JEDBURGH/9 still discernible but moss creeping up the stone.

Tall Stubble
The blades of whatever harvested this field last year must have been set fairly high to leave this height of stubble. The slightly odd-looking house is actually the end elevation of a row of form cottages beside the road.
